Our Programs
Supply Chain Development
At Bamboo Pathways Ltd, our Supply Chain Development program is designed to strengthen and streamline the bamboo value chain in Uganda—from nurseries to finished products.
We work closely with bamboo growers, processors, artisans, traders, and institutional buyers to build an efficient, reliable, and inclusive supply ecosystem. Our goal is to improve quality, reduce waste, and ensure that every stakeholder—whether a farmer, craftsman, or construction firm—has the tools, knowledge, and connections needed to thrive.
Key initiatives include:
- Sourcing & Propagation Support: We assist communities in accessing quality bamboo seedlings and setting up sustainable nurseries.
- Harvesting & Processing Training:We train growers and processors in standardized harvesting techniques, treatment methods, and value-addition practices to meet market demands.
- Market Linkages. We connect producers to buyers and businesses across Uganda through partnerships, expos, digital platforms, and matchmaking.
- Logistics & Storage Optimization: We help develop better systems for storing, transporting, and distributing bamboo products to minimize post-harvest losses.
- Certification & Standards Support: We promote the adoption of quality standards and traceability mechanisms to boost local and export market competitiveness.
By professionalizing the bamboo supply chain, we unlock economic opportunities for thousands of rural Ugandans, improve product quality, and make bamboo a mainstream material in construction, packaging, crafts, and more.
